International Mechatronics (Double Degree, Master of Science)

    About

Leibniz University Hannover recognises the importance of the field and the corresponding opportunities. The University offers both bachelors and masters degree courses in mechatronics and has developed the specialised Hannover Centre for Mechatronics (MZH) to further its research and teaching. In view of the international nature of mechatronics, a partnership with Saint Petersburg State Polytechnical University a renowned technical university in Saint Petersburg, Russia has recently been established. This partnership has enabled the creation of a new International Mechatronics masters degree course.

Students of Mechatronics should have the ability to use their imagination and to think in an abstract way. An understanding of technical matters, an interest in mathematics and the ability to think logically are also important. Mechatronics is a highly interdisciplinary field between Electrotechnics and Mechanical Engineering. For the Double Degree with St. Petersburg Polytechnic University a good grasp on programming skills is very helpful. Since studies take place in Russia and Germany a rudimentary understanding of both languages will help in your everyday routine.
