The DfE has appointed University of Derby as an accredited provider for the new International Postgraduate Certificate of Education (with International Qualified Teacher Status (iQTS) Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme / qualification pilot year. iQTS is recognised as equivalent to English QTS by DfE, meaning that anyone who is awarded the iQTS qualification by an accredited ITT provider, will be eligible to apply for professional QTS status through the DfE.
