Overview The International Studies program at the University of South Alabama, leading to the degree of Bachelor of Arts, combines the study of foreign language and culture with broad training in international studies, regional studies, international relations, and international business. The International Studies Program can be personalized in many ways and can include Internship, Study Abroad and Directed Study.CareersThe International Studies Program prepares students for careers and graduate programs in a variety of fields, in the private, public, and non-governmental sectors. As an interdisciplinary program, International Studies exposes students to a variety of courses from multiple perspectives, encouraging students to think critically about global issues and problems. Recent graduates are employed in communications, peace studies, logistics, immigration and international law, education, international trade, environmental sustainability, and more.
