    Why study Kinesiology and Clinical Exercise Physiology?

    Develop the knowledge and skills to address the physical activity needs of special populations. If you have an appreciation for people with disabilities or chronic disease conditions, their lifestyle, and their exercise possibilities, you will find this program of interest. You will learn how to adapt traditional exercise forms, fitness assessment techniques and training protocols to meet the needs of people with physical and sensory impairments. You will learn how the health care delivery system works, and its implications for the field of adapted and therapeutic physical activity.

    Requirements

    Entry Requirements

    Admission is to the Major in Exercise Science. Students seeking admission to the Honours program may apply for a transfer after having completed certain courses and obtained a grade point average of 3.0.

    English Program Requirements

    English language Requirements

    Results must be less than two years old at the time of your application in order to be accepted as proof of language proficiency. Depending on your test score, you may be required to take a placement test after being admitted to Concordia. This placement test will determine whether you need to enroll in English Second Language (ESL) courses while pursuing your degree, usually within the first year.

    • TOEFL iBT or TOEFL iBT Special home edition: 70
    • Tests taken January 2026 or later (new TOEFL score scale): 4.0 with no section below 3.5
    • To ensure your TOEFL results are forwarded directly to Concordia University, you must indicate 0956.00 as the “Institution Code” when you write the test. “MyBest Scores” are accepted.
