    About

    Accelerated Master's Program – BA/MLS Program

    Qualified BA in Law students with a minimum 3.3 GPA have the opportunity to pursue an accelerated track to a Master of Legal Studies (MLS) from Arizona Law. After taking 12 units of foundational law courses at the graduate level during their senior year, students accepted into the accelerated program take an additional 18 units in Legal Analysis, Research and Writing, and upper-level electives with J.D. students.     Admissions Requirements

    To complete your application, you will need:

    1.  Personal statement of 3-4 pages summarizing your qualifications for and interest in the program, along with career objective
    2.  Academic transcripts (*Official needed if admitted)
    3.  One Academic or Professional letter of recommendation
    4.  Your resume or curriculum vitae
    5.  TOEFL or IETLS for applicants who do not hold a degree from an English-speaking country
    6.  Complete Law College application, fee currenlty waived (https://law.arizona.edu/apply-mls).

     
    Standardized Tests

    Standardized test scores are not required for admission.  However, if you have taken the LSAT, GRE, GMAT, or MCAT you may have your scores submitted if you wish.

     
    Funding Opportunities
    In attempt to keep program costs down, all MLS students pay the in-state tuition rate regardless of residency.

    • International applicants to Arizona Online campus, Global Direct campus, or a Global Microcampus should choose the Distance Learner (DL) visa type in their Application Profile.
    • International applicants to the Main campus must currently hold a US visa that permits incidental study. 
    • Please verify your visa eligibility with International Student Services before applying.  The application fee is non-refundable and will not be refunded if your visa status is not eligible.  
    • Applicants must meet all Graduate College minimum admission requirements, including English proficiency.
    • Applicants should be prepared to submit copies of their visa documents, additional transcripts, or degree documentation if requested.
    • University of Arizona regulations require that all international students on non-immigrant visas carry the University of Arizona student health insurance plan.
