About this course
This two-year fast track programme is designed for people who already have a degree in another subject, and lawyers from outside the UK who'd like to broaden their education.
This is not a typical law school. We offer a personal experience where every student counts. We take the time to get to know you, develop your abilities, help you challenge current thinking and grow confidence.
We provide you with much more than a degree. We’re all about preparation for your career.
Practise legal skills in mock trials and Law Society mooting and client interviewing competitions. Build your experience through mini-pupillages with Wilberforce Chambers and on internships with local law firms and government. And work on real cases such as employment tribunals in our Legal Advice Centre.
You can rub shoulders with leading law firms at our yearly careers convention. We’re also partnered with the University of Law which runs a series of bespoke courses to help prepare students for both the SQE exam and other professional qualifications.
Throughout your degree, you’re expected to study for 1,200 hours per year. That’s based on 200 hours per 20 credit module. And it includes scheduled hours, time spent on placement and independent study. How this time is divided across the year varies and depends on the module you are studying.
How you'll be assessed depends on the course you study, and the modules you choose. You may be assessed through a mix of examinations, coursework, presentations and group projects.
