    Careers and Employability

    Graduate careers

We’re perfectly situated in the M4 corridor, where demand for logistics, procurement and supply chain specialists is high. The experience and accreditation you’ll get here prime you for jobs both regionally and beyond. Our alumni work in both specialist logistics firms, as well as diverse organisations like the NHS, MOD, Crown Commercial Services, local authorities and government clusters. Aztec Park, which hosts defence firms such as Boeing and Babcock, is also nearby. Roles include supply chain analysts, consultants, logistics planners, procurement specialists, operations or project managers, and contract managers.

    Careers support

Our course includes modules designed to enhance your career options. You’ll learn everything from identifying your strengths and marketing yourself, to application and interview techniques. Our industry-active teaching staff know what employers want and will shape you into a highly desirable specialist. The sandwich placement gives you the contacts, experience and industry insights that help you secure a job, and you can also access dedicated Careers Advisers who help you find opportunities.

    Industry partners

Our close ties with major businesses and public organisations steer your career prospects in several ways. The most significant is the sandwich placement. Several students go on to secure full-time roles where they did their placement. You’ll also get the inside track on operations through field trips to partners like Continental Tyres in Ebbw Vale. We regularly invite supply chain professionals to host guest lectures and support projects, offering great networking opportunities. You can also volunteer as a ‘trainee analyst’ at various industry partners through the Business Clinic.
