About

Recent advances in electronic and communication technologies have allowed massive transmission of information, such as multimedia, voice, video and data. Today smart phones, TVs and internet are part of our daily life. The search for faster and power efficient devices and systems which keep people and things connected to achieve efficiencies of scale lead governments and corporations to invest in research and development as well as infrastructure in the field of electronics and communication.

Performance improvements in communication systems are rooted in novel communication architectures and advances in integrated circuit technologies. Advanced Electronics and Communication Technologies program at Istanbul Okan University aims to blend communication technologies with analog and digital signal processing with an emphasis on integrated circuit implementation.

Requirements

Entry Requirements

Applications are made directly to the International Office. Students can apply for up to five academic programs listed in order of preference. Applications are evaluated by a Faculty Board. Students placed in an academic program will be announced on our website. Students accepted for studies at Okan University will receive a Letter of Acceptance issued by the International Office. They will then apply for a Visa at the nearest Turkish Consulate in their home countries.

English Program Requirements

All undergraduate students have to prove their proficiency in English before they can start the first year of their academic program. International students who are unable to submit the required English language test scores during their application can take the Okan University English Proficiency Test upon arrival. Students who fail the test will attend Okan University Intensive English Program for one year. This year is not included in the total number of years required for graduation.
