What this course will give you
This programme is delivered by leading researchers from across UCL, led by the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The aim is to provide students who have a strong technical background with hands-on experience in pioneering manufacturing, characterisation techniques, along with business and innovation skills.
Students have a range of opportunities to network and stay informed about modern advances in manufacturing which can be used to transform or develop ideas into businesses. Here, students are encouraged to develop entrepreneurial and business skills through lectures and workshops organised by UCL Innovation and Enterprise and the School of Management. They may also enter entrepreneurship competitions to pursue innovative business ideas. Students have access to employer networks through the department's employability activities, which include employer-led events, individual coaching, and working on projects under industrial mentorship.
