    If you’re a clinical practitioner building your career across the medical radiation sciences ‒ including CT, MRI, ultrasound, diagnostic radiography, radiation therapy, and nuclear medicine and molecular imaging ‒ this course is designed to develop your clinical leadership through critical thinking and evidence-based, patient-facing practice, and enhance your capabilities in education, learning, mentoring and collaboration.

  • Join the cutting edge of contemporary practice

    You’ll learn alongside experts in diverse areas of contemporary practice and research, including artificial intelligence in medical radiation science, nuclear medicine, breast imaging, pharmacology and clinical education. And you'll study subjects that reflect the leading edge of research in the field, including advanced breast imaging, advanced tomographic imaging, and artificial intelligence and image analysis ‒ an innovative subject that is unique to this course. In every subject you will dive deeply into emerging theory, practice innovation and procedural benchmarking.

    The degree includes  a small number of core subjects; however, you can shape the remainder of the degree to meet your unique advanced practice needs. Choose to focus on an area of speciality or interest or take a broader approach. Integrate with clinical leadership or a research investigation. You can build a personalised qualification that reflects who you want to be as an advanced practitioner.

  • Follow your path

    You could start with a graduate certificate in another area ‒ such as applied data science, health management and leadership or information technology ‒ then transition into this master's, receiving credit for your certificate studies. You can also exit with a Graduate Diploma of Advanced Medical Radiation Practice after completing 64 points of study, then come back to complete your master's at a later date.

    A Bachelor's Degree (or AQF equivalent) in related field

    Or completion of the Graduate Certificate in related field.

    English Program Requirements

    1. providing evidence of having completed a sufficient standard of study in English
    2. have obtained an Academic IELTS within the last 2 years with:
      1. a minimum overall score of 6
      2. no individual score below 5.5
    3. obtaining a qualification deemed to be equivalent to Academic IELTS (and its minimum scores) by Charles Sturt.
