    About

    The highly practical Master of Banking and Finance is designed to meet employer needs and will develop your theoretical knowledge alongside your practical capabilities. You’ll develop your knowledge and skills in the core areas of financial principles, analysis and modelling, econometrics and statistics. And you’ll have the opportunity to undertake electives in areas such as fintech, environmental finance, capital markets and business valuation.

    The practical and flexible Master of Commerce builds on the knowledge and skills you’ve acquired through professional experience or undergraduate studies in commerce and business. It will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of all business functions alongside a set of well-regarded practical and transferable skills, including sustainable and ethical thinking, communication, problem solving, strategic thinking and teamwork. You’ll have the opportunity to develop new areas of expertise or advance your knowledge by completing one or two specialisations in key areas of demand.

    Master of Commerce
    • AQF level 7 bachelor qualification in a related field or recognised equivalent, or
    • AQF level 7 bachelor qualification or recognised equivalent, and two years relevant approved work experience, professional certification or other recognised prior learning

    If you don’t meet the English requirements for your course, you may be issued an offer of study that includes an English preparation program at the Macquarie University English Language Centre (ELC). If you receive a packaged offer, you can apply for a single student visa covering both your English preparation program and your course.

    The length of your English program will depend on your current English level and the minimum English requirements for your course. Our admissions team will be able to recommend the number of weeks required when you submit your application.
