    About

    Accelerate your engineering career by obtaining a Master of Engineering Management (MEM) degree from the University of Windsor. Offered by the Faculty of Engineering in partnership with the Odette School of Business, the MEM program prepares engineers for management roles. Graduates are ready to occupy leadership roles in multinational engineering and technical enterprises and contribute to manufacturing strategies, corporate innovation, and operations management. Coursework also includes planning and executing technology commercialization and go-to-market strategy to foster an entrepreneurial spirit among MEM graduates.

    Modern Curriculum

    While all candidates in the program acquire competencies in accounting, financial management, administration, engineering design, product management, strategy, and IP management, the elective courses and the capstone project allow students to expand core skills in one or more of the following practical areas:

    Admission Requirements

    Previous 4-Year Undergraduate Degree

    • Undergraduate 4-year degree in engineering or closely related discipline (computer science, etc.)
    • Minimum GPA must be the North American equivalent of B. Students with substantial work experience may be admitted with slightly lower GPA on a probationary basis
    • Non-native English speakers must demonstrate English proficiency with IELTS: 7.0 / iBT TOEFL: 100 / Duolingo 120 scores.
      • Citizens of certain countries may be exempt from the English proficiency requirements. More information about exemptions.
      • English language programming such as the ELIP, is available if you require extra training before entry into the MEM program, or if you have received lower-than-required test scores. Certain ELIP program modules may be available online.

    • Statement of interest (maximum 500-word essay explaining how you think MEM can help you achieve your career and professional goals, and why you chose the University of Windsor)
    • Two confidential reference letters (professional or academic)
    • Resume
    • Transcripts from all previously attended post-secondary institutions
    • English proficiency test scores (if required)
    • Signed supplemental form (Online required for the online MEM)

    English Program Requirements

    Graduate Record Examination (GRE)

    Applicants whose academic credentials are difficult to assess may be required to write the GRE, administered by the Educational Testing Service, Princeton, New Jersey, USA. 08540.

    M.B.A. applicants are required to take the GMAT prior to admission.

    English Proficiency

    All test scores are valid for 2 years from the date the test was taken. Tests must be valid at the beginning of the term in which a student starts their program.

    Pathway Program

    The University of Windsor English Language Improvement Program (ELIP) (Level III) with a minimum final grade of 75%.

    For applicants whose native language is not English, a satisfactory score on an English proficiency test administered by one of the following institutions is required:
