    About

    Nurses are a vital part of the healthcare team, providing, leading and coordinating care that is compassionate, evidence-based and person-centred. This programme provides the education and training needed to be able to work as an equal partner with other health professionals as part of the healthcare team. Graduates of this dual-award programme have the knowledge and skills to care for patients physical and mental health needs, and are able to register with the NMC in two field of Nursing. The course is aimed at motivated, high-achieving individuals interested in pursuing graduate study to prepare for nursing leadership. Upon graduation, the new nursing graduates will be prepared for work at the bedside delivering both physical and mental health care, to be leaders in healthcare settings and are poised to go on to advanced practitioner and specialist practitioner roles.This course provides the education and training to allow graduates to work as a Registered Nurse in two fields of nursing: Adult Nursing and Mental Health Nursing. Our curriculum will teach you the art and science of nursing practice, ensuring you know how to care for patients physical and mental health needs in a person-centered, evidence based and compassionate way. The course will allow you to develop and consolidate your knowledge of the biosciences needed to safely support nursing practice, and to critically appraise nursing evidence. You will learn how to assess and meet the needs of people with both acute and enduring illnesses, and to use your clinical judgement and decision-making skills to develop care plans which respect patients dignity. Well also teach you the knowledge, skills and values underpinning professional behaviour which will allow you to become a dual-registered Nurse.

    Entry Requirements

    Certificate of General Secondary Education will not be considered for direct entry - study our International Foundation Programme instead. Please note: students completing King's International Foundation programme will not be able to progress onto our Dentistry programmes.
