    UNE's Master of Nursing Practice (Preregistration) is externally accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC), ensuring our program meets national standards of quality and excellence. Upon completion of the program, you can apply for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) to become a Registered Nurse.

Join us on campus and take advantage of our small staff-student ratio and supportive environment, or study online, gaining hands-on experience in our Clinical Simulation Lab and engaging face-to-face with your peers and academic staff during mandatory on-campus intensive schools.

    Please note the following important information for all students:

    • Due to course quotas, places are limited and applications may close without notice.
    • You cannot defer your place in this course. If you are an unable to commence your study, you must apply for readmission.
    • Rule B is not offered in 2025.
    • UNE Sydney (Parramatta) is only available to International students admitted under Rule A.
    • The Program of Study must be undertaken in Australia.
    • You cannot undertake any professional education practice units while outside of Australia.
    • Before commencing study, you must meet a range of course pre-requirements. These include compliance with NSW Health mandatory immunisation requirements, Criminal Record Clearance, English Language Requirements and a Working with Children Check.

    Please note the following important information for International students only:

    • If you are admitted under Rule A on a Student Visa, you may study on campus in Trimester 3 at Armidale or UNE Sydney (Parramatta). While UNE endeavours to place students in their preferred campuses, quotas apply and you may not be offered your campus of choice.
    • If you are admitted under Rule A on any visa that allows study within Australia other than a Student Visa, you may study online via Armidale in Trimester 3.
    • If you are admitted under Rule B on a Student Visa, you may study on campus in Trimester 1 at Armidale.
    • If you are admitted under Rule B on any visa that allows study within Australia other than a Student Visa, you may study online via Armidale in Trimester 1.
    • If commencing as a full-time student, you must remain a full-time student for the entirety of your enrolment.

    Most of our students choose to study online across three study periods with 24/7 tutor support* and fit study around work and family commitments. Uniquely, our online students are mostly over 30 and bring valuable experience with them. They form a community of adults juggling the same challenges and priorities and who bring their life and work experience together at UNE in order to become future-fit and better respond to a rapidly changing world.

    Study on campus
    Many of our students choose to take advantage of the on-campus lifestyle in Armidale, in the beautiful New England region, with access to unparalleled support, accommodation and sporting facilities.     Professional recognition

    UNE’s Master of Nursing Practice (Preregistration) is externally accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) on behalf of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
