About

Organisational psychologists work with people and organisations. They are experts in areas such as leadership and talent management, recruitment, performance management, occupational health and safety, change management and career development.

The Master of Organisational Psychology will provide you with the skills, knowledge and qualifications to work in a wide range of organisations such as consultancies, large companies and government departments. Upon graduation, you’ll be eligible for registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.

This includes information provided to the Universities Admission Centre (UAC), referee reports, and completion of the Macquarie University Supplementary Form. Invitations for the interviews and offers for admission to the course are highly competitive. Meeting the minimum stated requirements does not guarantee an invitation to attend the interviews or admission to the course.

What if I don't meet the requirements?

If you don’t meet the English requirements for your course, you may be issued an offer of study that includes an English preparation program at the Macquarie University English Language Centre (ELC). If you receive a packaged offer, you can apply for a single student visa covering both your English preparation program and your course.

The length of your English program will depend on your current English level and the minimum English requirements for your course. Our admissions team will be able to recommend the number of weeks required when you submit your application.

Assumed knowledge

The minimal admission requirement is an honours degree or alternative approved fourth year in psychology (or international qualification(s) deemed equivalent to this level by the Australian Psychological Society).

Recommended studies

Applicants who completed their psychology undergraduate degree overseas are also required to prove that their qualifications are equivalent to those offered in Australia by submitting them to the Australian Psychological Society (APS) for assessment. Equivalency is determined by the APS; the outcome of the APS assessment must be submitted with the application.
