    Master of Physiotherapy Studies

    About

Build on your undergraduate degree and qualify as an accredited physiotherapist in just 2 years with the Master of Physiotherapy Studies.

This 2-year full-time program will equip you with the theoretical knowledge, skills, and professional attributes for a career in physiotherapy. You’ll develop specialist diagnostic and clinical skills to provide competent physiotherapy service to clients as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

This postgraduate program is designed for people who have completed an approved bachelor's degree and appropriate prerequisite study in human anatomy and human physiology.

Across the program, you’ll learn how physiotherapy can play a role in the management of clients with a wide range of injuries and conditions, including those that affect the musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory, and neurological systems. You’ll build knowledge and practical skills in evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as exercise prescription and manual therapy for injury prevention, health promotion and optimising function, in clients across the lifespan.

You’ll benefit from extensive supervised clinical placements in UQ Physiotherapy Clinics, aged care and community services, hospitals, schools, and other healthcare organisations and private practices, allowing you to apply your learning with real clients.

Upon completion, you’ll graduate with the skills, knowledge and confidence to become a leader in the field, as you begin your career as an accredited physiotherapist.
