    Master of Renewable Energy

    About

    Highlights

    • Queensland’s target of 80 per cent renewable energy by 2035 forecasts 100,000 new jobs in the renewable engineering sector, making now a pivotal time to upskill in renewable technology and skills (Queensland State Government, Department of Energy and Public Works).
    • Learn in dedicated renewable energy labs and use purpose-built software to work on real-time power simulations.
    • Deepen your engineering knowledge by learning the technologies to lead the future of sustainable energy and renewable power generation systems such as wind, solar, hydro, wave and tidal.
    • Complete a real-world project alongside our industry partners such as Energy Queensland and Powerlink, on renewable energy system design and performance, energy storage, energy efficient transport, climate change risk assessments, carbon neutral strategies and more.
    • The climate-positive Olympic Games in Brisbane 2032 will trigger a 10-year pipeline of sustainable engineering projects and investment in renewable energies to ensure carbon reductions and climate positive legacies.

Engineers with skills in renewable and sustainable energy systems are in high demand, with more than 100,000 new renewable power jobs in the pipeline to achieve Queensland’s 80 per cent renewable energy target by 2035.

Now is a pivotal time making to upskill in renewable and sustainable energy systems, sustainable energy policy and carbon management.

In this course, you’ll gain the ability to manage entire renewable projects including management, regulatory contexts and finance. You will learn about energy storage, how to analyse and design microgrids, energy policy and energy forecasting.

You will work alongside industry consultants and academic experts who are leaders in renewable energy system design and performance, energy storage, energy efficient transport, Smart Cities, climate change risk assessments, and carbon neutral strategies.
