Master of Science, Information Security Management

The MS-ISM program is designed around the eight domains of information security as articulated for the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification. The six core courses cover the following topics:

• An Overview of the CISSP Certification
• Human Factors in Information Security
• Security Policy Development
• Managing Risk
• Legal Issues in Information Security

There has been a shift in the culture of believing that only security professionals have responsibility for an organization's information security. In my role as Associate Director of the University IT Customer Experience Team at Augusta University, I feel that it is my responsibility to help educate our customers on this topic. By completing the MS-ISM program, I was able to gain a better understanding of the in-depth concepts required to manage in an information security environment.

Applicants from foreign colleges and universities must use an approved transcript evaluation service. Augusta University accepts official course-by-course transcript evaluations from the following evaluation services listed below. Course-by-course transcript evaluations may also be accepted from a current National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, or NACES, member on a case-by-case basis. Only in the case of transcripts from international colleges/universities will an official course-by-course transcript evaluation based on official transcripts and documents be accepted in lieu of an official transcript. Official transcript evaluations based on unofficial transcripts, documents or copies will not fulfill this requirement.

• If ordering from ECE, please select "Augusta University - Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions" as the institution delivery.

Degrees awarded from international universities and colleges must be verified as the U.S. equivalent of a Bachelor's or higher degree.
