Math is everywhere, offering broad career choices. Mathematical analytics and operations research major addresses a critical need in business for scientifically-trained analysts who can use mathematical models to interpret big data, analyze markets and forecast trends. Entry Requirements

Freshmen: Coursework in mathematics and computer science form the basis for advanced study of analytical methods, with a number of required and optional courses in statistics and economics.

English Program Requirements

A strong understanding of the English language is important to your success at UC Davis. If you have been studying in the United States for fewer than three (3) years and your native language and school language of instruction prior to your study in the United States was not English, you must demonstrate English proficiency. Meeting this requirement through the AP exam, IB exams or transferable college courses also satisfy the UC Entry Level Writing Requirement (ELWR).
