About

This joint program brings together Mathematics and Computer Science, combining the mathematical skills of reasoning and problem solving, with the knowledge of algorithms and computing. These two disciplines and skillsets are ones that vitally complement each other.

The program covers courses in a diverse range of areas, including algebra, algorithm design, calculus, numerical analysis, software systems, programming and probability, all of which will allow you to explore the possibilities of programming and computing at the intersection of both disciplines.

Applicants are reviewed on their high school transcript with particular emphasis on yearly averages and results in prerequisite subjects (prerequisite subjects must have been completed during the last two years of high school).

Bologna-signatory countries

McGill welcomes qualified applicants from throughout Europe, including from schools in Bologna signatory countries. Applicants will be considered for admission into McGill degree programs of similar duration as those at comparable, research-intensive universities in Europe. Accordingly, qualified applicants to the faculties of Arts, Education, and Management at McGill, with a Bologna-compliant diploma that leads to a three-year undergraduate program in Europe, will be admissible to a three-year program at McGill. Students in Management will be required to complete additional mathematics coursework.
