The Medical Humanities and Health Studies Minor is an interdisciplinary minor. It is housed in the English department, where administrative oversight is provided. Collaborating participants include the departments of Communication Studies; Disability Studies; English; Geography; Gerontology; Philosophy; Psychology; Sociology; Social Work; and Women's and Gender Studies.
Three disciplines must be represented, with a minimum of nine hours taken at the 300 level or above. Students must earn a GPA of 2.0 across all courses applied to the minor. No prerequisite coursework is required to declare the minor.
