Microbiology and Immunology

Microbiology is the study of microorganisms like bacteria, fungi, viruses, protozoa and parasites. Microorganisms play an important role in the environment and in human, animal and plant life and disease. Immunology studies our immune system's structure and processes. If you’re interested in microbiology and how the body fights infection and disease, the BSc. Microbiology and Immunology Major might be the right program for you.

The curriculum provides a substantial background in microbiology, immunology and related disciplines (chemistry, biology, biochemistry), which will prepare you for professional schools, graduate education, or entry into jobs in industry or research institutes.

Applicants are reviewed on their high school transcript with particular emphasis on yearly averages and results in prerequisite subjects (prerequisite subjects must have been completed during the last two years of high school).
