    The BA Music Business and Arts Management degree combines a rich selection of areas over its three years of studies. Modules such as Managing Arts Projects, Introduction the Music Industries, and Music Contracts & Copyrights help lay the foundations, while more specialised aspects of the course develop the knowledge and skills you'll need to deal with the business and legal implications of the music and arts industries.

    As part of our vibrant performing arts department, youll study a mix of compulsory and elective modules that will allow you to gain expertise in music business and arts management.

    Youll get plenty of support from staff that are working or researching in the music business or arts sector. Guest lectures with industry professionals will also put you in touch with the professional world and help to build contacts.

    Heavily focused on enhancing your employability skills, youll follow in the footsteps of former students who have secured internships and placements with the likes of NME, Bath International Music Festival, EMI and the Barbican.

    Our Concerts and Colloquia series gives you access to some of the industrys most influential guest speakers, with previous guests including Mark Lawrence (PRS for Music), Geoff Travis (Rough Trade), Tom Robinson (BBC and singer-songwriter), Dave Tomberlin (Interscope-Geffen-A&M), and Dr Shruti Jauhari (KM Music Conservatory, India).

    While youre learning, youll be matched with a Personal Tutor directly related to your course. Youll also get support from our Student Learning and Graduate Academic Assistants, who have experience in your subject area.

    Students are required to have completed Community College Diploma (Intermediate Diploma/Associate Degree) after high school.

    Students must also:

    • meet our standard English language Requirements.

    In addition to qualifications such as A level and International Baccalaureate, we accept a wide range of international qualifications.

    English language requirements for international students

    You must have competence in English language to study with us. The most commonly accepted evidence of English language ability is IELTS 6.0 (with minimum 5.5 in all components). We also normally require Grade C GCSE or an equivalent qualification. Visit our English language requirements page for a full list of accepted tests and qualifications. For some EU countries, we may be able to accept English language competency evidenced through your high school qualification. If you don't meet our minimum English language requirements, we offer an intensive pre-sessional English course.
