Music Industry Studies - Music Manufacturing and Merchandising

The Bachelor of Science in Music Industry Studies - Music Manufacturing and Merchandising degree in the Hayes School of Music provides students with the knowledge and experience to join multiple fields in the music products industry, including careers with major and independent music stores and musical instrument manufacturers.

Courses in the Music Industry Studies - Music Manufacturing and Merchandising degree provides students with extensive experience with all of the musical instruments as well as classes in merchandising and personal selling techniques. The required business minor will familiarize students with basic business and entrepreneurial skills they will need to develop successful careers in this field, and musical training will allow students to speak intelligently with musicians. Successful completion of all coursework leads to a capstone internship which generally occurs in a major music center.
