    About

CCM's Artist Diploma in Keyboard Performance (Piano, Organ or Harpsichord) is designed to integrate the great traditions of the past with the development of skills necessary for the demands of the music profession in the twenty-first century. Few schools can match the quality of CCM's Keyboard Division. An all-Steinway institution, CCM offers keyboard students access to more than 170 pianos (one of the world's largest collections of new Steinways), eight harpsichords, a fortepiano, a clavichord and seven pipe organs, and the opportunity to learn from and perform with prestigious musicians in world-class facilities.

The AD Keyboard Performance program relies strongly on the mentoring process, by which the students' private teachers guide them both technically and musically, and advise them in all aspects of their overall education and development. Our faculty of eminent artist-teachers offer students one-on-one attention and opportunities to perform in the tri-state region and globally.

Degree programs are rigorous in their challenges, emphasizing both solo and chamber music performance while retaining flexibility in order to individually address each student's relative strengths and weaknesses. Students graduating from our program will be prepared for careers in chamber music, private teaching and solo performance by learning both the traditional repertoire and modern music composed for their instrument. Graduates of the program often continue on to additional advanced study.

CCM is a college within the University of Cincinnati, a major undergraduate university and graduate research institution of more than 40,000 students. The synergy created by housing CCM within a comprehensive public university gives the college its unique character and defines its objective: to educate and inspire the whole artist and scholar for positions on the world's stage.

Scholarships are available for qualified students.
