    About the course

    The new role of nursing associate is designed to bridge the gap between healthcare assistant and registered nurse. This flexible practice-led course is aimed at healthcare assistants currently supporting registered nurses to provide care.

    As a nursing associate you will have the skills knowledge attitudes and behaviours to play an active part in improving peoples experience of healthcare.

    This Foundation Degree provides the study- and work-based learning you need to develop these wide-ranging skills and widen the scope of your service. It also meets the requirements of the national Nursing Associate Training programme curriculum as well as the NHS Constitution (see below).

    Requirements

    Entry Requirements

    2 A level passes (minimum C and D)

    International Baccalaureate (24 points)

    A recognised Foundation degree

    Additional course requirements if any

    English Program Requirements

    To apply for a place on an undergraduate course (BA/BSc) you need to have completed your high school education (12 years) and have a pass equivalent to two UK A level passes and have the required English language qualification.

    How to Apply

    When you submit an application form you must remember to include photocopies of the following supporting documents. We do not need to see your original qualifications and certificates.

    • A completed application form signed by you (an electronic signature is fine)
    • Copies of your official academic qualifications and certificates including proof of your level of English Language (where relevant)
    • A one-page personal statement. This should tell us why you want to study your chosen course.
    • A copy of your current valid passport details
    • Please submit copies of any UK Visa that you have held and any documentation relating to previous visa refusals from any country
