Nursing (DNP) - Informatics

About

The Informatics DNP specialty prepares nurses with an MS degree to work within their organizations, providers, and vendors to successfully implement quality technology improvements in the healthcare industry. Students will be prepared with advanced knowledge in data processing and information sciences.

Entry Requirements

Admissions Requirements

Master of Science (MS) in Nursing Informatics, Leadership, Public Health or related

- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- Degree awarded from a regionally accredited institution

Work Experience

Three years of experience in informatics with a minimum of two years in a health care setting.

RN Licensure

- Enrollment in the DNP program requires registered nurse licensure. Admission is conditional upon the individual obtaining and maintaining the license in active and good standing.

All applicants to the DNP program should review the application information on the College of Nursing's website. In order to apply for this program you must first submit an online application through NursingCAS followed by the University of Arizona Graduate College GradApp.

Standardized Tests

We do not require any standardized tests for admission to the DNP Program.

Funding Opportunities

Students in the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program are eligible for university and college funding. All students are encouraged to file an updated FAFSA form each year. The College of Nursing awards internal scholarships on a rolling basis each spring to currently admitted students.

Admissions Deadlines

Applications for the Informatics specialty must be submitted by October 31st 2021 to be considered for the first admission cycle for Fall 2022 cohort.

International Conditional Admission

International applicants will not be considered for conditional admission by this program.
