Programme requirements

Entry to this diploma is limited to 25 students per year.

You must have completed an undergraduate degree in medicine, such as the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB), or equivalent medical qualification, at a recognised university (or similar institution).

You will also need to hold current registration as a medical practitioner with either the Medical Council of New Zealand or as a Medical Practitioner in your home country, and have adequate access to clinical work in a hospital approved by the .

You will be asked to provide a current CV.

If you are an international applicant whose first language is not English you will need to provide evidence of your English proficiency.

You will require an IELTS Academic score of 6.5 with no bands less than 6.0. See alternative English language requirements.
