    About

    The postgraduate diploma in Operative Dentistry is designed to enhance the operative skills of newly-qualified dentists, as well as experienced practitioners wishing to upskill, whilst they continue to work in general dental practice. Course participants will develop the technical, diagnostic and treatment planning skills necessary to practice modern clinical operative dentistry effectively and efficiently. Topics covered will include the comprehensive management of single and multiple crown/onlay restorations, treatment planning, aesthetic composite restorations, occlusion, dental implants, resin bonded tooth replacement, removable prosthodontics, tooth surface loss, bleaching, rotary endodontics, restoring the endodontically treated tooth and the development of a variety of complementary skills.

    Applicants who have completed a Bachelor degree from a recognised institution in Jordan will need to demonstrate the following grades to be considered for a Postgraduate course at King's:

    UK degree classification Jordanian equivalency

    High 2:1 Class Bachelor (Honours) degree

    (equivalent to 65% overall)

    GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0

    Overall score of 80%

    2:1 Class Bachelor (Honours) degree

    GPA of 3.3 out of 4.0

    Overall score of 75%

    High 2:2 Class Bachelor (Honours) degree

    GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0

    Overall score of 70%

    Postgraduate research courses

    A Master's degree from a recognised university with high grades considered for programmes requiring a UK Master's degree.

    English Program Requirements

    It is expected that postgraduates will continue in general dental practice, offering a higher standard of clinical care with increased confidence, ability and professional reward.
