    About

The European School of Osteopathy (ESO) is a leading osteopathic institution with a world-class reputation for high quality osteopathic education; our graduates can be found practicing worldwide, often at the forefront of the profession. Our reputation, unique teaching facilities and inspiring degree programme attract students from across Europe and beyond and we are proud to offer a truly cosmopolitan learning environment, with multiple nationalities, ages and backgrounds represented. Our 4-year Integrated Master’s Degree in Osteopathy programme provides every skill you need to become a successful osteopathic practitioner, ready to apply for registration with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) and begin professional practice. At the ESO we teach a broad range of osteopathic techniques as part of the core curriculum, with a dedicated programme for business and personal development; graduating with a wide range of skills and professional attributes sets our graduates on the path to a fascinating and rewarding career in the healthcare sector. The full-time programme delivers a solid grounding in the clinical sciences, integrated with over 1000 clinical hours of real patient interaction, and develops higher level skills in reflective practice and professional development. We have our own dedicated teaching clinic, which has been established in Maidstone for over 40 years. Students (under the supervision of experienced tutors) carry out around 19,000 consultations each year and provide an invaluable service to the local community. In addition to the general osteopathic clinic we offer specialist clinics for Sports, Children and Babies, Maternity, Headache, Women’s Health plus an on-site Musculoskeletal Diagnostic Ultrasound Clinic. The final year Extended Practice module also provides an opportunity to study an area of clinical practice in more depth. You'll graduate with the hands-on experience and skills needed to treat patients of all ages and backgrounds. The School’s academic site at Boxley House is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty with 16 acres of parkland - the setting is simply stunning. Maidstone has excellent road and rail links; London is less than an hour by train and France less than two. Eurostar terminals at Ebbsfleet and Ashford International stations make it quick and simple to reach mainland European and the Channel Tunnel is just a 25 minute car journey away. Students really can enjoy the best of both worlds with town, country and city life on their doorstep. By choosing to study at the ESO you will benefit from a wealth of teaching and osteopathic experience, with tutors and lecturers who are passionate about their profession and committed to bringing out the best in each student. We accept a wide range of academic qualifications and experiential backgrounds and all applicants are invited to interview - we treat every applicant as an individual and recognise personal qualities, not just academic ability, are needed to make a good osteopath.
