Program details
The Peace and Conflict Studies (PACS) Master of Arts is a two-year program with thesis and comprehensive options available.
Peace and Conflict Studies [Master of Arts]
Expected duration: 2 years
Tuition and fees: one year tuition, then continuing fees in subsequent years (refer to Graduate tuition and fees)
After the completion of 9 credit hours of coursework with the program, students must apply for consideration within the Thesis or Comprehensive option.
Thesis option
In addition to the minimum requirements of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, students must complete:
- 12 credit hours of core courses
- 3 credit hours in research methods
- 3 credit hours in a PACS elective or PACS practicum
- A thesis proposal, defence and examination
Comprehensive exam option
In addition to the minimum requirements of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, students must complete:
- 12 credit hours of core courses
- 3 credit hours in research methods
- 3 credit hours in practicum
- 12 credit hours of PACS electives
- A comprehensive examination
