About this degree
This MClinDent provides you with comprehensive clinical and academic training in Periodontology, at UCL's state-of-the-art facilities in the heart of Bloomsbury, London.
You will attend a mix of face-to-face and online seminars and tutorials and have considerable clinical time to manage and treat patients with a variety of periodontal and implant dentistry needs.
Training in research is an integral part of the programme. You will have the chance to collaborate on inspiring clinical or laboratory projects, both within the department and across the larger UCL community, culminating in a thesis suitable for publication.
You will also attend national and international periodontal small group seminars and workshops with world-renowned external speakers in the field.
Staying up-to-date with modern practice, we recognise the need to embrace new evidence-based techniques, materials and technologies. This contemporary focus and the programme’s strong academic foundation give you transferable skills to help you succeed in the field.
Who this course is for
The programme is suitable for dental practitioners who have gained some experience in general dental practice and are keen to develop greater clinical skills and depth of knowledge to practise Periodontology and implant dentistry at a specialist level. The programme also provides the foundation for further training and research.
