Advance your theoretical knowledge and develop a critical and questioning approach as you explore professional, clinical and managerial issues relevant to infection prevention and control (IPC).
Enhance your clinical practice by developing an in-depth knowledge of the principles of microbiology and explore the role of the nurse in IPC within the multidisciplinary team and how to design a local IPC plan. This programme by RCSI School of Nursing and Midwifery is delivered via an active blended learning approach including self-directed learning and live online classes approximately once every week.
Further support is provided through the module lead, the programme director and regular online drop-in sessions.
The award title for this course is Postgraduate Certifcate Nursing (Infection Prevention and Control).
This course is a Level 9 award on the Irish National Framework of Qualifications.
