PHYSIOTHERAPY AND REHABILITATION

Students who have been the first in our Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department in 2015-2016 academic year will graduate with "Physiotherapist" title after 4 years of training if they are successful.

Physiotherapist is a health personnel with professional autonomy who plans, implements, evaluates and reports the physiotherapy and rehabilitation program for developing function and functional capacity according to the diagnosis of the specialist doctor by determining the functional limitations, pain, disability and capabilities of the people with private measurement, evaluation and analysis methods in injury, illness, congenital disability, movement system disorders or the pain and dysfunction caused by other conditions, plans appropriate exercises, prevention programs for healthy people.

Preventive and curative Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation became one of the priority fields because of the increasing human life expectancy and the aging of the population in the world and in our country and because of health protection in line with scientific and technological developments.

Our education program includes basic sciences, clinical sciences, vocational courses, research methodology, seminars and clinical studies for planning and for implementation of treatment programs for problems mentioned above. Our students will be educated as competent people in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation by using the information received from theoretical and practical courses in 4-year period of education and training for clinical practice in neurological and neurosurgical rehabilitation, orthopedic rehabilitation, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, pediatric rehabilitation, women's health and gynecological rehabilitation, hand surgery rehabilitation, occupational therapy, rheumatologic rehabilitation, prosthetics, orthotics and biomechanics, sports medicine and rehabilitation, vocational rehabilitation and intensive care rehabilitation in various health institutions.

Physiotherapists have a wide range working fields such as university hospitals, public and private hospitals, rehabilitation centers, vocational rehabilitation centers, special education centers and disabled schools, orthotics and prosthetics centers, spa centers, thermal hotels, sports clubs and centers, nursing homes and home care services, industrial areas, schools and fitness centers. Physiotherapists are also able to continue their academic career by completing master's and doctoral studies.

We are expecting young people to Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department for physiotherapy profession which is sought-after in the world and in our country and has a bright professional future.

1. Acceptance Letter received from Istanbul Aydin University
2. Turkish translation of High school diploma and transcript
3. Notarization of translated High school diploma and transcript from Notary in Turkey or Turkish Embassy in your country
4. Health Insurance for one year (compulsory – You will make your insurance paperwork in J Block with International Students and Staff Affairs. Insurance Costs between 400,00 to 600,00 TRL)
5. Equivalency Paper (Denklik Belgesi) of High school diploma from Provincial Directorate of Ministry of Education in Istanbul (you will be guided properly on this once you will reach Istanbul Aydin University International Office J - Block)
6. Language Proficiency Certificate
7. Health Insurance for one year (compulsory– You will make your insurance paperwork in J Block with International Students and Staff Affairs.

1. Passport photograph
2. High school diploma (a copy translated to Turkish or English)
3. High school transcript (a copy translated to Turkish or English)
4. Photocopy of the relevant pages of your passport
5. 60 % marks (min) in High School
6. For English degree program applicants: TOEFL score -79 points
   (If English is not the first/ official language of the country). 
   (If students do not have TOEFL then he/ she has to qualify English Proficiency Exam, which will be held in IAU. Dates will be mentioned at http://int.aydin.edu.tr)
7. For Turkish degree program applicants: TOMER B1 level required.
8. Dentistry and Medicine applicants: TOMER C1 level required.
