    About

    The primary goal of the program is to prepare policy analysts and policy/program evaluation specialists who work for governments and not-for-profit organizations for professional analytical tasks. The 12-credit curriculum is designed to educate students in the basic concepts and analytical tools of policy analysis and evaluation profession. Courses taken in the certificate program may be applied toward a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree in Public Administration at Penn State Harrisburg, subject to restrictions outlined in GCAC-309 Transfer Credit. Certificate students who wish to have certificate courses applied towards a graduate degree in Public Administration must apply and be admitted to that degree program. Admission to the Public Administration graduate degree program is a separate step and is not guaranteed.
