The Power and Propulsion Gas Turbine Engineer Mastership addresses the knowledge, skills, and behaviour requirements of the Power and Propulsion Gas Turbine Engineer apprenticeship standard (Level 7). It is relevant to the energy and power, aviation, and defence sectors covering areas of design and development, operations, and maintenance of gas turbine systems.

This apprenticeship programme offers two options: power and propulsion related to rotating machinery and aircraft propulsion respectively. The training consists of a combination of modules on the whole engine system, component design, as well as operations/applications.

Entry Requirements

Our general entry requirement is a UK Honours degree (minimum second class lower) or international equivalent. Our Admissions Office staff have extensive knowledge of a wide range of qualifications from all over the world and will assess your qualifications against our UK entry requirements. Applications are considered on an individual basis and the information provided here is intended as a general guide. English Program Requirements

To study for a formal award at Cranfield you will need to demonstrate that you can communicate effectively in English in an academic environment. You can meet this requirement in the following ways:

If you have previously obtained a higher education level qualification from a UK university and have been taught and assessed in English (note that international applicants applying for Master’s courses in Cranfield’s School of Management are required to have studied in the UK for the full duration of the course).

If you are a national of or have a obtained a higher education level qualification from a country on the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) list of majority English speaking countries:

If you have been continuously employed in the UK for a minimum of five years immediately prior to the start of the course, providing you are able to supply a reference from your current employer which explicitly confirms you are able to communicate effectively in English.
By providing a satisfactory English test certificate that meets the requirement of the course you have applied for.

check the status of your application,
upload documents, if required, in support of your application,
request a change to your application,
update your contact details,
withdraw your application (prior to receiving a decision),
ask for a deferral (if you have received an offer).

To help speed up the application process, please provide your supporting documents, for example degree certificate, as soon as possible.

We only require electronic copies of these documents during the application process, which you can provide securely in the Applicant Portal or by email, there is no need to send photocopies by post. Please do not send us hard copies of your original documents.
