    About

    Clermont College offers a Pre-Health Science program that provides students with the appropriate course work to transition to either the Pre-Medicine or Pre-Physician Assistant Training track within the College of Allied Health Sciences at University of Cincinnati Clifton campus.  The Health Sciences Pre-Physician Assistant is one of very few that gives you focused preparation for physician assistant school, while continuation into the Pre-Medicine program specifically prepares students for entry into graduate level medicine, pharmacy, chiropractic, podiatry, dental, and optometry programs.

    The associates degree program provides students with a comprehensive background in the basic sciences which is then combined with combined with applied studies in exercise physiology, biomechanics and kinesiology, biochemistry, cell biology and microbiology puts you in an excellent position to be a competitive candidate.

    Entry Requirements

    Students enrolled in Jordanian national curriculum are asked to report their current subjects on the “Current or Most Recent Year Courses” section of the Common App. Advise your school counselor, headmaster, director, etc. to upload the following documents to the Common App:

    • Transcripts with final Preparatory school results for year 10, coursework and scores for year 11, and as much as is available for year 12 by the application deadline
    • If you have completed secondary school, official copy of the General Secondary Education Certificate (Tawjihi), accompanied by a certified word-for-word English translation

    If the transcript is issued in a language other than English, it must be accompanied by an English translation.

    Medical school is the most common career goal for students in the Pre-Health Sciences – Medicine track.

    According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the job outlook for physicians and surgeons is expected to grow 3% by 2030 and the current median pay is $208,000 per year.  


    Students in the Pre-Physician Assistant track generally seek a career as a physician assistant. 

    According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the job outlook for physician assistants is expected to grow 31% by 2028 (much faster than the national average) and the current median pay is $115,390 per year.
