Agrologists are professionals who advise farmers, governments, industry, media and the public about all things related to agriculture. They specialize in plants, soils, livestock, agricultural engineering or economics.
Following this program at McGill will prepare you to be a professional agrologist. It is the only specialization that will qualify you to sit the admission exam of the Ordre des agronomes du Québec (OAQ). Only members of OAQ can legally practice agrology in Québec.
This specialization must be taken with the Agro-Environmental Sciences Major and a second specialization such as Animal Production, Ecological Agriculture, Plant Production, or with the Agricultural Economics Major and the Agri-business Specialization.
