Overview The Master of Arts (M.A.) with a major in Professional Counseling at Texas State University consists of four concentrations:clinical mental health counseling,marital, couple and family counseling, andschool counselingschool counselor - Texas CertificateThese four areas of concentration in the professional counseling major have required course sequences that build skills through three levels, from basic to advanced, via didactic and experiential activities.
