    About

    Our accredited MSc focuses on the specialist project management skills needed to gain an in-depth understanding of the specific issues and complexities that are part of managing construction projects. Youll develop the skills needed to find solutions while also meeting the clients requirements in the most efficient way.

    Exploring the unique needs and characteristics of all stages of the projects life-cycle, youll learn to balance efficiency on time, cost and performance and constructability, as well as the environmental impact.

    Youll examine construction methodologies and procedures and gain an understanding of procurement systems, client organisations and stakeholder management in the development and decision-making processes.

    Project management is all about team work. You'll work in a team to produce a complex project proposal based on a real-world scenario. This allows you to apply the skills and knowledge that youve gained to coordinate a multidisciplinary team of professionals to successfully deliver a construction project. 

    Course structure

    This course can be studied full- or part-time.

    The course consists of taught and research components. To be awarded the MSc you must obtain 180 credits. Six taught modules at 20 credits each, plus your dissertation at 60 credits. A typical 20-credit modules requires a total of 200 hours study time.

    For the taught element you will be at university for lectures, seminars, tutorials, workshops, laboratory classes, individual supervision sessions and team working. Modules are assessed based on learning objectives using coursework, presentations, oral and/or written examination at the end of the semester.

     You will work closely with a member of our team, who are all active in research and consultancy, on your dissertation that reflects your interests and career aspirations.

    Entry Requirements

    We require applicants to hold either a good bachelor degree or a master’s degree from a recognised Jordanian university with a GPA of 2.5 / C+ / Good.

    English Program Requirements

    COVID-19 continues to disrupt exams and English language testing in some parts of the world. For 2022 entry, we have expanded the number of qualifications we are able to accept. If you have, or are sitting, one of the qualifications listed here and it meets our validity policy then you do not need to take an IELTS test, even if we asked you to do so in your offer. Please let us know and send a copy of your results so we can check your qualification.

    • English language, English literature, or English language and literature A-levels at grade D or above.
    • English courses from other UK universities, subject to subject to being awarded from an accredited institution and at the CEFR B2 minimum levels required and meeting all four components.
    • A bachelors or masters degree from an accredited university in the UK or a Home Office majority English-speaking country.
    • TOEFL iBT At Home test – check the TOEFL website for more information about which countries are operating this test and the test eligibility.
    • IELTS Indicator home-based test – check the IELTS Indicator website for more information about which countries are operating this test and the test eligibility.
    • KITE (Kaplan International Tools for English) - an easy to access online English Language test from Kaplan online that can be taken from home.
    • LanguageCert International ESOL (IESOL) Exam.
    • Occupational English Test (OET) – accepted for Medicine and a range of allied health profession courses, including Pharmacy, which have vocational training elements.
