Admissions Requirements
To qualify for entry into a Certificate program, you must have a degree and active licensure as an advanced practice nurse (nurse practitioner, nurse anesthetist, clinical nurse specialist or certified midwife). Additionally, applicants to the AGACNP specialty must have RN experience in an acute care setting. Certificate programs admit for a fall start only.
- Advanced practice nursing degree (MS or higher, focusing on APRN certification)
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- Two letters of recommendation
- Unrestricted RN licensure within the U.S. AND current APRN certification (NP, CRNA, CNS, CNM)
- Advanced practice national certification

Standardized Tests
We do not require any standardized tests for admission to the certificate program.

Students are admitted to the certificate program once per year for an August start. Applications open in January with deadlines in early April. Applicants are encouraged to review the information and updated deadlines on the College of Nursing website prior to submitting an application. International Conditional Admission
International applicants will not be considered for conditional admission by this program.
