PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELING and GUIDANCE

Mission:

Knowing the factors affecting the development and harmony of the person between the ages of 6 and 18 in the student personality services in various stages of life; to provide a systematic and professional help process and service to cope with the problems seen in success and academic development, psychological and social relations, personal, educational and vocational development areas in the school.

Requirements

Entry Requirements

Acceptance Letter received from Istanbul Aydin University
Turkish translation of High school diploma and transcript
Notarization of translated High school diploma and transcript from Notary in Turkey or Turkish Embassy in your country
Health Insurance for one year (compulsory – You will make your insurance paperwork in J Block with International Students and Staff Affairs. Insurance Costs between 400,00 to 600,00 TRL)
Equivalency Paper (Denklik Belgesi) of High school diploma from Provincial Directorate of Ministry of Education in Istanbul (you will be guided properly on this once you will reach Istanbul Aydin University International Office J - Block)
Language Proficiency Certificate
Health Insurance for one year (compulsory– You will make your insurance paperwork in J Block with International Students and Staff Affairs.

Career

Our graduates are especially active in public and private schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education. Or they serve as psychological counselors and/or guidance teachers in the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Labor and Social Security, Social Services and Child Protection Agency, Ministry of Family and Social Policies, Police Academy, Turkish Armed Forces, guidance and research centers, special education centers and human resources departments of enterprises.

High school transcript (a copy translated to Turkish or English)
Photocopy of the relevant pages of your passport
60 % marks (min) in High School
For English degree program applicants: TOEFL score -79 points
(If English is not the first/ official language of the country).
(If students do not have TOEFL then he/ she has to qualify English Proficiency Exam, which will be held in IAU. Dates will be mentioned at http://int.aydin.edu.tr)
For Turkish degree program applicants: TOMER B1 level required.
Dentistry and Medicine applicants: TOMER C1 level required.
