About
Find what motivates you.
Have you ever wondered how your mind and brain influences your perceptions, thoughts, and behaviours? Or how you might help people change their thoughts and behaviours for the better? If so, psychology is an ideal field of study for you.
At Acadia, we want to teach you how to be critical consumers of information and also how to be a researcher yourself. You will have the opportunity to do hands-on psychological research early in your studies. We limit laboratory courses to 35 students and a few upper-year seminar courses to 20. You will get to know faculty members and your fellow students, and they will get to know you.
You can pursue either a Bachelor of Science (BSc) or a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in psychology. The entrance requirements and the requirements for the major are identical for both. Whichever you choose, you have the flexibility to select courses outside your major that are best suited to your interests and career goals. You can do a minor or, if desired, a second major in almost any other discipline.
