Public Policy Analysis

Certificates allow you to complete a specific group of university courses (for credit) as either part of your degree studies or separately. .

The aim of the Public Policy Analysis Certificate program is to provide students with skills linking theory to practice; develop an understanding of financing of public policy programs and their implementation; and examine the impact of social and economic policies. Students have the flexibility to choose from courses from various areas of public policy according to their interests.

The Professional Certificate in Public Policy Analysis will appeal to students who are interested in a career in government or the not-for-profit sector.  The certificate program provides an alternative to a full degree or minor program in the area of Public Policy Analysis.

Who can take it?

1. current York students who are not in the Public Administration degree program, or
2. new applicants to York who hold a university degree in a discipline other than public administration.

If your first language is not English, you must show you have an acceptable level of English by completing a language proficiency test.

If you have completed at least one full year at an accredited university in a country where English is the official language of the institution, you may be exempt from this requirement.
