    Course delivery

    Our Real Estate and Property Management postgraduate degree course comprises eight carefully-designed modules plus one research-based dissertation project.

    The 180-credit MSc award comprises eight taught modules plus thedissertation. The 120-credit PgDip comprises eight taught modules. The 60-credit PgCert award comprises four specified taught modules.We offer course entry each Januaryand September.

    Flexibility is at the heart of our learning approach. You can choose to study this postgraduate course full-time or part-time on campus or via distance learning:

    • As a campus-based full-time student, youwill completefour 15-credit taught modules in each of of the first two trimesters. Youwill complete a60-credit dissertationin the final trimester
    • As a campus-based part-time student, youwill completetwo 15-credit modules in each of of the first four trimesters.You will complete a60-credit dissertation across two additional trimesters
    • As a distance learning student, youcan choose to study at the same pace as either the full-time or part-time pathway

    If you are studying on campus, you can take advantage of our proximity to Manchester city centre andvisit live developments.Distance learning students will also experienceourCollaborate Ultra virtual learning environment, supported by real-time and on-demand interactive sessions. Module assessment is driven by real-world problems aligned to your workplace or role.

    Alongside gaining a strong understandingof real estate and property, you will develop your knowledge in topicssuch as building technology, valuation, legal frameworks and asset management. You will also strengthenyour research and analytical skills by completing a dissertationon atopic of your choice.

    Entry Requirements

    Applicants who have successfully passed a diploma from a community college, intermediate diploma or associate degree with an overall mark of C+ or better will be considered for undergraduate entry.

    English Program Requirements

    Equivalent qualifications

    English language requirements are shown on individual course pages. Generally, this is shown as an IELTS grade, however we accept a range of equivalent qualifications. 

    As a general guide:

    For undergraduate courses we require IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum 5.5 in each component) or equivalent

    For postgraduate courses, we require IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum 5.5 in each component) or equivalent

    For the International Foundation Year, we require IELTS 4.5 (with a minimum 4.0 in each component) in UKVI IELTS for UKVI (Academic)

    The approved equivalent qualifications list includes the following: 

    Secure English Language Tests (SELTs) 

    University of Salford English language courses

    Regional-based qualifications

    Majority English Speaking Countries as deemed by UKVI

    Medium of English Institutions

    Applicants who require a Student Route visa to study in the UK may require evidence of a Secure English Language test rather than an examination or qualification due to visa requirements, as deemed by the UK Government Home Office, Visa and Immigration (UKVI).
