    Course Delivery

    Delivered over five years part-time, our BSc (Hons) Real Estate Development and Management degree coursecombines theoretical knowledge with the application of professional skills and competencies.

    During your studies, you will learn through academic seminars and tutorials. You will also experienceproject workwith other built environment students, mirroring the multidisciplinary approaches used in modern property and construction:

    • During year one, you will develop a solid framework from whichto progress, as you explore the legal, economic and technicalaspects of real estatesurveying
    • As you progress to years two and three, youwill integrate planning, urban regenerationand property asset management in your studies, as continue to build yourknowledge
    • In years four and five, you will expand your studies into areas such as conservation and strategic planning. You will also experience multi-disciplinary projects and complete your final project as youdemonstratethe skills and knowledge you have developed

    Located at the heart of the largest property and construction market outside of London, Salford is a great place to study real estate.We take advantage of our amazing location to visit live and recently completed development projects in Salford, Manchester and the North West.

    Entry Requirements

    Applicants who have successfully passed a diploma from a community college, intermediate diploma or associate degree with an overall mark of C+ or better will be considered for undergraduate entry.

    English Program Requirements

    Equivalent qualifications

    English language requirements are shown on individual course pages. Generally, this is shown as an IELTS grade, however we accept a range of equivalent qualifications. 

    As a general guide:

    For undergraduate courses we require IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum 5.5 in each component) or equivalent

    For postgraduate courses, we require IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum 5.5 in each component) or equivalent

    For the International Foundation Year, we require IELTS 4.5 (with a minimum 4.0 in each component) in UKVI IELTS for UKVI (Academic)

    The approved equivalent qualifications list includes the following: 

    Secure English Language Tests (SELTs) 

    University of Salford English language courses

    Regional-based qualifications

    Majority English Speaking Countries as deemed by UKVI

    Medium of English Institutions

    Applicants who require a Student Route visa to study in the UK may require evidence of a Secure English Language test rather than an examination or qualification due to visa requirements, as deemed by the UK Government Home Office, Visa and Immigration (UKVI).
