    Resilience and Change Management

    About

Resilience is now considered an important factor in the contemporary workplace. In the increasingly and endlessly turbulent context of the modern world of work, the resilience of both individuals and organisations becomes vital in order to survive and thrive.

This course is designed to provide students with the ability to analyse the concept of organisational resilience and evaluate how resilience can be built within a contemporary organisation.

This courseinvestigates the forces driving organisational resilience, as well as the potential barriers to building resilience in an organisation. The domains and elements of resilience are identified and analysed. The relevant and up to date ISO and BSI standards will be drawn on considerably in the delivery of this module.

The relevant theoretical principles and models relating to change and resilience as well as resistance to change will be considered and applied in the context of buildingorganisational resilience. Consideration is given to the way(s) in which organisations become more resilient and the drivers and barriers relating to resilience.

This course is mapped to the CMI module Implementing Organisational Change Strategies (7010V1) and students have the option, following payment of an additional fee, to attempt the assessment for this CMI module. Successful completion of this CMI module will result in the student being awarded 7 CMI credits.
