Robotics and Automation is the use of electrical circuits, industrial controls, fluid power, and robots to execute manufacturing processes. Advanced manufacturing companies use robotics and automation to increase speed, efficiency, quality and flexibility in manufacturing.
The UC Clermont Robotics and Automation certificate program is designed to provide students with prerequisite knowledge required for entering a career in which robotics and automation are utilized in manufacturing settings. Topics covered in this certificate program include hydraulics and pneumatics, basic electrical theory, industrial circuits, programmable logic controllers (PLC), sensing technology, industrial robots, and collaborative robots. Students who complete the Robotics and Automation certificate will have the ability to obtain a number of industry recognized credentials during the program. The Robotics and Automation certificate also transfers directly to UC Clermont's Manufacturing Engineering Technology Associate degree program.
