Sound Design (with Foundation Year), BA (Hons)

Our foundation year is flexible and led by your interests. You can study sound design all year or explore other creative subjects. This includes media and television production. This can help you decide what you'd like to study as a degree.

You'll work on different projects during your foundation year. This mirrors the way you'll learn on your degree. You can take a sound design approach to projects, producing your own audio. You'll get practical experience recording and mixing sounds. You could also explore another creative subject instead. Our course team will be on-hand to support you.

You'll study with other arts and media foundation year students. This means you'll meet other creatives with different interests, like filmmaking or producing. This can inspire your own approach to sound design.

Once you progress on to your Sound Design BA (Hons) degree, you'll learn through a series of projects that include live briefs. This will allow you to explore every aspect of sound design in a creative way, while developing your own style.

Diploma from a technical / vocational or health college / institute with a GPA of 2.0/5 or 60-64%

Successful completion of on year of appropriate study at a recognised KSA university with a GPA 2.5/5 (65-69%)
