    Specialist Certificate in Clinical Ultrasound

    About

    Overview

Clinical ultrasound has made a dramatic impact on patient management in perioperative, critical care, emergency medicine, surgery and internal medicine environments. An expanding range of clinicians are now using clinical ultrasound, including those in primary care, remote and rural medicine, sports medicine, prehospital/paramedicine, nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, and other branches of allied health.

The Specialist Certificate in Clinical Ultrasound (Online) is part of a suite of courses developed by the renowned Ultrasound Education Group (UEG). This program is tailored to the needs of health professionals looking to gain expertise in Point-of-Care Ultrasound offering the flexibility to select subjects that best align with their clinical interest.

Delivered 100% online, the Specialist Certificate in Clinical Ultrasound (Online) will develop your skills in acquiring and interpreting ultrasound images, incorporating the ultrasound findings into your clinical assessment and performing ultrasound-guided procedures.

Students are given access to a logbook platform to record their scans, but completing a specific number of scans is NOT a hurdle requirement for this course. Furthermore, the e-learning material provides extensive guidance on organising self-conducted hands-on sessions for those interested in facilitating their own practical training.

This course may be reimbursed as Continuing Medical Education (CME).

Our clinical ultrasound courses are the only fully online Australian university courses that may enable you to gain Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points while building towards an award qualification.
